Vitebsk region plans to supply coniferous tree seedlings to Tver region
"The Tver region is interested in the products of our forestry, in particular, in spruce seedlings. In the near future, I plan to meet with the management of our forestry enterprises. We need to develop a common position and determine the volumes. The Tver region is large, and its needs are significant. There is also interest in our products such as flax and rapeseed," said Vladimir Terentyev.
He also reported that following the trip to Tver, a concrete agreement was reached on signing documents for the supply of bakery and confectionery products, dairy products, and breakfast cereals directly between the heads of enterprises. "The trip was interesting and fruitful. We spent a lot of time at the agro-holding 'Dmitrova Gora'. It is a model for the integration structures being created in our region now. An enterprise that combines all stages of cultivation, processing, and sales - from the field to the counter. Such experience is useful for us," noted the chairman of the regional council.
Answering a question from a BELTA correspondent about the possible prospects for creating joint ventures, Vladimir Terentyev emphasized that we must strive for this, and Russian partners are interested in this form of cooperation. "We will work on these issues because we clearly understand that to establish ourselves in the Russian market, we need the support of local producers," said Vladimir Terentyev. "We have found serious partners in Tver and intend to develop cooperation in various areas."
The delegation, headed by Vladimir Terentyev, included deputies of the regional council and heads of enterprises. In Tver, a protocol on joint actions for the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies and the Legislative Assembly of the Tver region was signed.
