Vitebsk coach Olga Vlasova awarded the "Belarusian Sports Olympus" prize.

Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree awarding the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus" for 2017, BelTA reports. The prize was awarded to our compatriot, the head coach of the national trampoline team, Olga Vlasova, for training high-class athletes, winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships. She has trained a galaxy of trampolinists, including the winner of the gold medal of the 2016 Olympics, Vladislav Goncharov from Vitebsk, as well as winners and prize-winners of the World and European Championships.

The laureate diploma for successful performance at international competitions, active civic position, and respectful attitude towards the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to Violetta Skvortsova, a member of the national athletics team, a graduate of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Sports School for Children and Youth in Athletics "Burevestnik-73", a Master of Sports, who last year won the gold medal at the European Junior Championships in triple jump in Grosseto, Italy. During the award ceremony for the prize-winners, the organizers mistakenly played the anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina instead of the anthem of Belarus. The upset athlete, despite the threat of sanctions, left the podium in protest. A video of the athlete's act gathered 8.3 million views and 17 thousand comments on YouTube. Video of the athlete's act
