May 16, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art will turn into a "network space" from May 18 to 20, the cultural institution informed a BELTA correspondent. A network can be represented as a structuring basis of society, regulating creative activity, and as a mobile system that creates connections and communication. The art exhibition "Series 'Networks'. Absorption" by Ruslan and Nikita Kolmykov, which will open on May 18, is designed to reveal this theme to the fullest. In accordance with the concept of the exhibition, modern society resembles a honeycomb, where everyone has their own place. At the same time, the number of connections and dependencies - social, national, financial, political, etc. - absorbs this world. It deprives it of naturalness, openness and freedom, covers it with a web, and becomes a network. An art battle will be held before the exhibition opening - a competition between teams from the art faculties of universities in the regional center, the theme of which will be various aspects of the concept of "networks" and their role in human life. The concept of "network space" will also be supported by the musical project "Kitchen" of the youth theater "Koleso" and the evening film program of the "Dialog" club. The events are organized as part of the international campaign "Night of Museums".-0-
