Vitebsk electrical appliances plant plans to update its product line by approximately 30% in 2010

RUP "Vitebsk Plant of Electrical Measuring Instruments" (VZEP) plans to launch new types of electrical products and equipment developed by the plant's designers into production in 2010. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the plant's chief engineer, Vladimir Kolpakov. Among the promising innovations by Vitebsk instrument makers is a control unit for automatic washing machines, developed by order of CJSC "Atlant". Another new product will be in demand by manufacturers of energy-saving lamps - VZEP plans to master the production of electronic ballasts for controlling the operation of fluorescent lamps. "This product is the main element of the design of energy-saving lamps, which reduces electricity consumption by up to 30%," noted Vladimir Kolpakov. The company's portfolio also includes the launch of serial production of a discrete electromagnetic device for controlling the hydraulic system of automotive and tractor equipment, developed under the import substitution program. In 2010, the enterprise plans to expand cooperation with Russian automakers. For the Pavlovsky Bus Plant, part of the GAZ group of companies, the Vitebsk manufacturer intends to introduce several new devices for various bus models into production. For OJSC "KAMAZ", instrument makers will master the production of a multiplex control panel using CAN communication technology, and also plan to start production of two new types of devices - PA-8115 speedometers and PT-8114 tachometers. In addition, VZEP intends to organize the production of a three-phase multi-tariff bidirectional electricity meter under license from the Nizhny Novgorod Plant named after M. Frunze. The product is intended for use in the country's energy system. According to the results of 2009, the share of new products in VZEP's production portfolio exceeded 30%, and more than 70% of the manufactured products are certified. For example, the company modernized the range of devices supplied to the Minsk Tractor Works, and also completed a deep modernization of a single-phase multi-tariff electricity meter. As a result, the technical characteristics and dimensions of the device have been optimized, and its functional capabilities have been expanded. "In 2010, the product range renewal coefficient is also planned to be at a level of at least 30%," said Vladimir Kolpakov. RUP "VZEP" was founded in 1948. The enterprise specializes in the production of electrical measuring instruments for measuring current, voltage, frequency, power, temperature, and pressure. Products are manufactured for ground measuring devices, onboard systems of vehicles, including aviation.
