Vitebsk Water Treatment Equipment Plant will supply treatment facilities for the Belarusian NPP

Витебский завод водоочистного оборудования будет поставлять очистные сооружения для БелАЭС

Vitebsk Water Treatment Equipment Plant UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya" has won two tenders for the production of specialized facilities for the construction of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Ostrovets, Grodno region. The supply is planned to be completed by November of the current year.

The first contract provides for the supply of treatment facilities for industrial and storm sewage in a block-modular design for power unit No. 1 of the Belarusian NPP, as reported to "Vitebskiye Vesti" at the plant. The production of this complex is a complex technological process. All departments of the enterprise are involved in it, and the presence of non-standard components requires an individual approach to their implementation. The equipment intended for the NPP includes a sewage pumping station with a capacity of 650 m3/h, a post-treatment unit with a capacity of 60 m3/h, sand traps, and equipment for the accumulating settling tank.

Despite the fact that this is the first experience for "Polymerkonstruktsiya" working at nuclear power facilities, the well-known Vitebsk manufacturer withstood a tough selection process during the procurement procedure and successfully passed a four-month inspection for compliance with the requirements, the enterprise noted. Currently, the plant is already ready to hand over one of the equipment units under the first contract, which will be accepted by the customer's commission in the coming days.

The second contract is for the supply of a sewage pumping station intended for pumping treated wastewater, which will also be installed at power unit No. 1 of the Belarusian NPP. Currently, the enterprise's specialists are making efforts to accelerate the production process and meet the deadlines for the supply of equipment to the facility.
