Vitebsk OJSC "Moloko" has stopped supplying products to Russia
June 13, Minsk /Nadezhda Radivon - BELTA/. Vitebsk OJSC "Moloko" has stopped supplying dairy products to Russia after trucks with milk were not allowed through the Belarusian-Russian border on June 10. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the company's General Director Gennady Mikhalko.
He noted that the entire range of whole milk products (50 items) was supplied to the Russian Federation, up to 100 tons daily. Based on last year's results, the plant ranked third in terms of whole milk product sales to the Russian market. Vitebsk milk was in demand among the population, and buyers were satisfied with its quality and price.
Commenting on the situation, Gennady Mikhalko noted that documents are currently at the Belarusian-Russian border stating that Belarusian dairy products cannot be allowed into the Russian Federation without the permission of Rospotrebnadzor. However, the company was issued certificates of conformity with the requirements of the technical regulations for milk and dairy products (dated June 12, 2008, No. 88-FZ) by the sanitary and epidemiological services of Smolensk.
OJSC "Moloko" processes 162 thousand tons of milk per year, or 500 tons of milk per day. 40% of the manufactured products are exported. 96% of exports go to the Russian market. -0-
