The Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association nominated candidates for delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly
Together, we are an unbreakable force. This was the message at the plenum of the regional trade union association, where candidates for delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly were nominated.
– The trade union community nominated candidates for the VNS delegates through serious discussions, – emphasized the member of the Council of the Republic, Chairman of the regional trade union association Yuri Derkach. – These people are devoted to our state, they are recognizable in their field, and have done a lot for the Vitebsk region. Each of them has sufficient competencies to make informed decisions so that our country can continue to develop and create all conditions for the working person.
In the Vitebsk region, 98% of the economically active population are members of the country's largest public organization. The regional trade union association has elected 10 candidates for VNS delegates, including honored workers and young specialists.
The interests of the working people of the Miory district at the VNS are planned to be represented by the chairman of the district trade union association, Oksana Podyava. The candidate for delegate is grateful for the trust placed in her and will make every effort.
– Representing the interests of civil society is a great honor and responsibility, – noted Oksana Podyava. – I believe that the issue of our country's sovereignty is a top priority for any citizen. After all, if we are independent, our economy works, we have our native language and our own culture. And this means that there is development and prosperity for Belarus.
Oksana Podyava plans to pay great attention to the issues of retaining young specialists, providing housing, and creating interesting leisure activities for them.
The chairman of the primary trade union organization of the Gorodok Boiler and Heat Supply Enterprise, Lyudmila Rudakova, has also been nominated as a candidate for delegate.
– I would like to draw attention once again to employment in small regions, raising the standard of living and wages. I have been working in the housing and communal services sector for a long time and know the problems of the industry from within, – noted Lyudmila Rudakova. – I also consider the issue of security to be relevant, not only for the working person but also for the country. Therefore, the people who will be elected are proactive, creative patriots of their native Belarus, and it is important for them to continue to preserve peace and sovereignty.
At the meeting, trade union awards were presented, the results of work on the prevention of industrial injuries were considered, and tasks for the current year were defined.
