Vitebsk UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya" will supply Kaliningrad resorts with iron removal stations

November 4, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA/. Vitebsk Unitary Enterprise "Polymerkonstruktsiya" plans to supply equipment for water treatment systems in cities of the resort zone of the Kaliningrad region, the enterprise's director Sergey Ivanov told a BELTA correspondent. The first iron removal station of the Belarusian manufacturer in the Kaliningrad region will be commissioned at the end of November in Svetlogorsk. For the water supply system of the Baltic resort town, the enterprise has supplied and is installing equipment for a gravity-fed station with a capacity of 10 thousand cubic meters per day, which will provide quality water to more than 30 thousand residents. The station makes it possible to normalize the content of iron and other components in water, minimize treatment costs, and also effectively address energy and resource conservation issues through the use of modern technologies and materials in the design and production of water treatment systems. The project, with a total cost of about 100 million Russian rubles, is being implemented under the federal program for the development of the Kaliningrad region until 2015. In the future, "Polymerkonstruktsiya" plans to continue cooperation with the administration of Svetlogorsk to improve the city's water supply system. In addition, the Vitebsk manufacturer will supply an iron removal station with a capacity of 5 thousand cubic meters per day to the city of Pionersk in the first quarter of 2011. The enterprise is also negotiating the possible participation in the modernization of treatment facilities in other settlements of the Russian exclave. More than 10 projects for the modernization of water treatment systems are being developed in several other Russian regions. For example, in the Stavropol Territory, "Polymerkonstruktsiya" will conduct pilot tests to select the optimal water treatment technology, which contains not only iron but also ammonia, boron, salts, and other undesirable components. The results of the tests will be used in the design and construction of treatment facilities in the settlements of the region, for which iron removal stations are planned to be supplied. In the Tver Region, Belarusian equipment is also planned to be used in the construction of treatment facilities under the regional program "Housing". In the Belgorod and Ryazan regions, and in Mordovia, Vitebsk specialists are providing expert support for work on improving design solutions and modernization programs for water supply systems in cities and rural settlements. Unitary Enterprise "Polymerkonstruktsiya" specializes in the development of new technologies and technological solutions for the treatment of water and wastewater at water supply and sewerage facilities of settlements and industrial enterprises, and also produces local treatment facilities, pumping stations and iron removal stations, polymer tanks and containers for various needs. The enterprise includes a scientific and technical center, a design bureau, a water treatment equipment plant, installation and commissioning departments, as well as a drilling and well repair unit. -0-
