Vitebsk region will be allocated an additional Br200 billion for equipment for reconstructed farms

August 18, Tolochin District / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The Vitebsk region will be allocated an additional Br200 billion for the leasing of equipment for the reconstructed dairy farms, Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich told reporters today during a working trip to the Vitebsk region, a BELTA correspondent reports. The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that the Vitebsk region has revised its plans for the reconstruction of dairy farms in 2012 and intends to increase the number of farms with milking parlors and robotic complexes to 96. In total, 228 dairy farms are to be reconstructed in the region this year. "If earlier the government had doubts about the implementation of these plans, then based on the data we have today and on what we have seen, we can state the reality of achieving the set goals," Mikhail Myasnikovich noted. The government and the regional executive committee have also found an opportunity this year to begin the construction of seven new dairy farms with commissioning in 2013. This is in addition to the 25 that are currently under construction. Eleven farms out of 25 will be commissioned in 2012. "These works will increase the cattle population and milk production. This year, the region has significantly increased the volume of milk production and sales with high quality characteristics," the Prime Minister stated. At the same time, he emphasized that the region has a lot of work ahead. "A decision has been made to allocate an additional Br200 billion for leasing equipment and modern technology for farms. The issues with feed dispensers have not been fully resolved. The government has taken on a 'homework assignment' for the region's equipment. If farms are to be reconstructed, they must be done at a high qualitative level," Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed. In general, across the republic, work needs to be carried out on 1.2 thousand dairy farms this year. Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich made a working trip to the Vitebsk region today, where he familiarized himself with the progress of the reconstruction of four dairy farms in the Tolochin District, heard reports on the progress of farm reconstruction from the chairmen of the Beshenkovichi, Vitebsk, Dubrovno, Liozno, Orsha, Tolochin, and Senno District Executive Committees. The head of government also visited the construction of an overpass over the reconstructed M4 highway Minsk-Mogilev in the Mogilev region. -0-
