Vitebsk customs seized a cheese substitute worth 467 million rubles.
A "SCANIA" vehicle arrived at the "Orsha - Beltamozhservice" customs clearance point of the Vitebsk Customs, which, according to the provided documents, was transporting "cheese product". As a result of the customs inspection, a decision was made to conduct a customs examination to verify the compliance of the goods with the declared information.
According to the conclusion of the expert of the Educational Institution "State Institute for Professional Development and Retraining of Customs Officers of the Republic of Belarus" , the imported goods do not correspond to cheese product and are a cheese substitute. In addition, according to information received from the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the specified goods are subject to state veterinary control and can be imported into the territory of the Republic of Belarus upon presentation of a corresponding import permit.
The transported goods, in the amount of 19.5 tons and a total cost of 467 million Belarusian rubles, have been seized as the subject of an administrative offense.
