Elena Martynova has been appointed head of the Vitebsk regional organization of the NGO "Belarusian Women's Union"
The new head of the Vitebsk regional organization of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women" was elected today at the reporting and election conference at the regional executive committee. Delegates unanimously voted for the candidacy of Elena Martynova, who held the post of deputy chairman of the regional organization of the BSW.
Elena Valerievna is the chief physician of the Vitebsk Regional Center for Psychiatry and Narcology, and has been actively involved in the women's council for many years.
Galina Petrovna Zhelanova, who led the organization for the past 4 years and was at the origins of the women's movement in the region, remains on the board.
The conference was held in a video conferencing format, with about 70 delegates participating.
