Vitebskhlebprom invested over Br9 billion in fixed assets in January-July.

August 10, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom" invested over Br9 billion in fixed assets in January-July, the chief engineer of the association, Alexander Korolev, told a BELTA correspondent.

The funds were directed towards the purchase of new technological equipment, which will reduce the energy intensity of the enterprises' operations, expand the product range, and improve the quality of manufactured products. For example, the Vitebsk bakery launched a new Italian line for the production of Italian-style dried bread and sticks, which produces six types of rusks and baranki. Currently, the production rate is 200 kg of sticks and 350 kg of dried bread per shift. Considering the growing demand for these products, it is planned to increase the production volume in the future.

The Polotsk bakery is implementing projects to expand the production of hearth and rye bread varieties and to gasify the enterprise, which are planned to be completed at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Energy efficiency improvement measures are also underway at the Novolukoml and Verkhnedvinsk plants. In the past period, the Orsha bakery acquired equipment for its confectionery workshop and began reconstructing the premises. The Braslav bakery has started design work on the modernization of its production building, said Alexander Korolev, adding that many enterprises have also invested in the purchase of vehicles and the development of their own trade.

In January-July 2011, the enterprises of "Vitebskhlebprom" produced 32.4 thousand tons of bakery products and 1 thousand tons of confectionery products worth Br103.7 billion, which is 23.7% higher than the same period last year. Exports to Russia increased by more than 90%. Sales profitability is 3.3%. The energy saving indicator, with a target of minus 3%, was minus 3.5%.

RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom" includes 11 bakeries, the construction and installation enterprise "Vitebskhlebstroy", and the agricultural enterprise "Prozhektor". The average number of employees at the enterprise is over 2.5 thousand people.-0-
