Vityaz handed over household and medical equipment to Vitebsk medical institutions
The staff of Vityaz OJSC joined the charity marathon to help medical workers. Today, the enterprise handed over the first batch of household and medical equipment to city medical institutions, as reported to journalists by the joint-stock company's General Director Gennady Azarov.
A charity event was launched at the enterprise this week. In a few days, the amount needed to purchase 15 microwave ovens was raised. The enterprise will also transfer 5 dry air thermostats to medical institutions, designed to obtain and maintain a stable temperature inside the working chamber, necessary for conducting bacteriological, microbiological, sanitary-biological, virological, and biochemical research. Household appliances will be delivered to the city hospitals, and the thermostats will be distributed among the laboratories with the highest workload, where coronavirus infection diagnostics are carried out. Three thermostats will be transferred to the laboratory of the infectious disease hospital, and one each to the laboratories of the regional hygiene center and the dermatology and cosmetology center, which are currently operating almost around the clock.
"The initiative has received great support from the staff, so it will continue. As funds are collected, we will continue to purchase and transfer necessary medical equipment in agreement with the regional health department. We also call on everyone to join our initiative; products for these purposes will be sold at cost," emphasized Gennady Azarov.
The most sincere words of gratitude to all the caring employees of "Vityaz" and the enterprise's management were expressed on behalf of the medical workers by Nikolai Kaspirovich, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Your support and care are more valuable than ever," he stressed. "There can never be too many kind words, so I would like to thank all the people who are providing any sponsorship today, who are transferring money to the charitable accounts of hospitals. We are very grateful for your participation and the warmth of your hearts."
The Vitebsk Television Plant "Vityaz" was founded in 1976. In 2010, the enterprise was corporatized with a 100% state share in the authorized capital. Today, OJSC "Vityaz" is a diversified enterprise, developing 26 types of activities, including the production of television and household appliances, medical equipment, electric charging stations, and other high-tech products, as well as a wide range of production services. According to the results of 2019, the enterprise operated with a net profit, and the growth rate of production volume by physical volume index was about 150%. The average salary level increased by approximately 20%. About 1,000 people work at the enterprise.
