Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Kochanova familiarized herself with the implementation of investment projects at "LLK-NAFTAN"
Today, "LLK-NAFTAN" successfully competes with leading manufacturers of lubricant additives and exports 95% of its products to 25 countries worldwide. And just ten years ago, the history of the joint Belarusian-Russian enterprise began with the production of the simplest products using old equipment from the 1960s-70s.
In a short period, the Novopolotsk-based company managed to displace the main players in the market and carve out a niche alongside the largest American corporations. It was a fair fight and a fair victory – the result of a powerful innovative breakthrough, active implementation of high technologies, and modern equipment.
The phased modernization of production facilities at the enterprise is constantly underway. The Deputy Prime Minister came to see how the measures, which are under government control and her personal supervision, are being implemented.
During the tour of the production facilities, General Director of SOOO "LLK-NAFTAN" Mikhail Babushkin reported that the investment project for the construction of a finished product packaging unit has already been completed, the facility was commissioned within the established deadlines, and has been operational since January 1 of the current year.
As a result, the shipment volumes of packaged additives have been effectively doubled, primarily ordered by consumers from distant regions – the Middle East and Africa.
Another project included in the state program is currently being implemented. This involves the modernization of the reactor unit and the purification unit for regenerated gasoline in workshop No. 3 for the production of sulfonate additives.
The design and estimate documentation has already been prepared, a tender for the selection of the general contractor has been held, and construction and installation works have begun. They will be carried out under operating conditions.

After all, it will allow to increase production capacities of the workshop by 15%, improve the quality of manufactured products, as well as automate the technological process control system and improve working conditions for specialists.The modernization, as noted by Mikhail Babushkin, will continue: this is a continuous process, vital for maintaining and strengthening leadership positions. The head considers constant progress to be the key to success. There is fierce competition in the international market, every day brings new challenges, and they must be met with a worthy response by producing high-tech products of world-class quality.
Summing up the meeting, Natalya Kochanova highly praised the efforts of the team, emphasizing that "LLK-NAFTAN" is currently successfully meeting its forecast indicators and all its commitments regarding the implementation of investment plans. In terms of production volume, it is the second enterprise after OJSC "Naftan", so further increasing its efficiency is very important for Novopolotsk.
