The inclusion of part of the Orsha district in the FEZ "Vitebsk" will create almost 500 jobs

The inclusion of part of the Orsha northern industrial hub and part of the territory of the Orsha district into the "Vitebsk" FEZ will help attract about $100 million in investments to this region and create almost 500 jobs. This was announced today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the "Vitebsk" FEZ, Sergey Stashevsky. He presented the proposed plan for expanding the zone's borders, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. It is planned that the FEZ borders may include part of the territory of the northern industrial hub of Orsha, where the enterprises "Agroprommash" and "Orshastroymaterialy" are located, as well as the settlements of Barani and Bolbasovo in the Orsha district, where the "Lyos" plant and the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant are located. In addition to the Orsha region, the eastern industrial hub of Vitebsk, where the enterprises "Energokomplekt", "OST-stankoremont", and "Polymerkonstruktsiya" are located, may be included in the FEZ. As Sergey Stashevsky noted, these territories have good investment potential due to their developed infrastructure. This year, Br2.7 billion from the national budget has been allocated for the development of the infrastructure of the "Vitebsk" FEZ territory within the framework of the state investment program. Currently, the territory of the "Vitebsk" FEZ is over 1.2 thousand hectares and includes 7 sites located in Vitebsk and Postavy (the territory of the "Belit" plant). -0-
