Laser engraver, agricultural robots, and a fruit and vegetable battery – over 30 projects were presented at the regional exhibition-presentation of innovative developments within the framework of the "100 Ideas for Belarus" project at Vitebsk State Medical University.

At the opening ceremony, Gennady Egorov, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted the high level of preparation of the exhibition participants, wished them good luck, and encouraged them to come up with more new and interesting ideas.

Anton Aleynik, a student from Secondary School No. 35 in Vitebsk, demonstrated to guests and members of the expert council how to convert wind power into electricity. His subsonic open aerodynamic tube allows for the generation of electricity that can be used, for example, in production or on a private farm.

Students of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, Alexander Shidlovsky and Diana Biryukova, modified a laser engraver for applying images to wood, plastic, and fabric. "There are analogues, of course, but ours is many times cheaper," assure the developers.

Is it possible to generate electricity from fruits and vegetables? Artem Levko, a student from Secondary School No. 1 in Postavy, knows the answer. His tasty and useful batteries are an economical biological energy source that does not pollute the environment.

Vladislav Buko, a student from Secondary School No. 11 in Novopolotsk, is convinced of the need for deeper integration of robotics into agricultural production. The young innovator claims that the advantages of his developments, such as autonomy, quiet operation, maneuverability, and multifunctionality, will help achieve increased productivity and higher yields.

Nikita Shilov and Yulia Klepitskaya from Dubrovno invented a device that allows transforming heat loss from refrigerators into cheap electricity for LED lighting in corridors and stairwells.

– The "100 Ideas for Belarus" project gives young people an opportunity to demonstrate their creative scientific and technical potential. The works presented this year are interesting in their own way and deserve attention, so it is not easy to choose the best ones, – noted Vyacheslav Khrol, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of BRSM.

Following the results of the expert council meeting, the authors of 15 projects received a ticket to the republican competition, which will be held in February in Minsk, as well as valuable prizes from the event organizers. All participants were awarded certificates of the regional exhibition-presentation.
