Vladimir Terentyev held an open lesson for schoolchildren in Vitebsk

A lesson with a deputy is a new project implemented by the administration of Pervomaisky District and the Department of Education with the participation of the regional and district Councils of Deputies. It is planned that the people's elected representatives will hold a series of meetings and dialogues with senior students, during which they will talk about the history of our country and discuss the present day.

Vladimir Terentyev spoke with the students about the rich centuries-old history of Belarus, about how it has always been permeated with a spirit of tolerance towards people of different nationalities and faiths.

– Judging by the children's faces and eyes, it was clear that they were interested in this format of communication, – noted the head of the deputy corps. – It is important when the country's history is presented in a multifaceted way, in its diversity, and sometimes without evaluating events. This is an opportunity for the children themselves to reflect on certain historical facts. Schoolchildren try to draw conclusions and, based on individual events, arrive at the correct decision. We sometimes think that our children do not understand something, that they are too young, but in reality, they are deeply educated, and it is they who will build the future of our country, so they must know and respect its history.
