Vladimir Terentyev is convinced that representatives of the Vitebsk region will perform with dignity at the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi
At the large-scale exhibition, Belarus will be presented as the host country of the European Games-2019 and the World Hockey Championship, which we will host together with Latvia in 2021. The festival program includes many events – discussion, cultural, leisure, and sports. Each day, in accordance with traditions, will be dedicated to one of the planet's macro-regions (America, Middle East, Asia and Oceania, Europe, Russia as the host of the forum).
Among the topics for discussion are cultural interaction, international security, education, science and the environment, IT, as well as issues related to youth employment, environmental problems, etc. The program topics are formulated taking into account the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Each representative from Vitebsk region will work in specific areas, and this will provide an opportunity to expand their knowledge.
– We proceeded from the fact that if a young person works in the railway industry, then they will take part in the work of a platform where the prospects for the development of this type of transport will be discussed; if in pharmaceuticals – then a platform where the development of this area worldwide will be discussed. That is, everyone will be able to showcase themselves at a professional level, communicate with colleagues, and contribute to self-education, – noted Vladimir Vladimirovich.
He will lead the delegation of our region, and in such a youthful company, as he admitted, he himself feels youthful.
– This is a wonderful opportunity for me to interact with the new generation, as well as with colleagues, including my former Komsomol colleagues who will also be going to Sochi. And, of course, it's a chance to see what the world's youth are up to, to see all the best things, – noted the head of the Vitebsk region's parliamentary corps.

– The trip to the World Festival is a very significant event for me. I will participate in the cultural and sports program of the festival, I will be involved in an exhibition where we will introduce our culture and traditions to young people from other countries. And personally, I want to attend many events, I'm already trying to plan how to find time for it. The program is very intense and interesting, famous people are coming, for example, Nick Vujicic, of course, I would like to attend a discussion program with his participation. Various actors, singers, and musicians will come. All of this is interesting to me.

The first World Festival of Youth and Students took place in 1947 in Prague. It was attended by 17,000 people from 71 countries. The initial goals of the forum were the fight for peace, youth rights, and the independence of peoples.
The VI World Festival in 1957, held in Moscow, became the largest in the entire history of the festival movement.
The westernmost location for the festival was the capital of Cuba, Havana, and the easternmost was Pyongyang. In 2001, the festival was held in Africa for the first time – in Algeria.
