Vladimir Terentyev met with the staff of the Vitebsk branch of MITSO

Vladimir Terentyev shared his impressions of the Address by the Head of State to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly, and also spoke about the upcoming republican referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

— For those who attended the meeting with the President, it was important to hear his opinion on a number of aspects, because we ourselves had questions, including during the dialogue platforms, — said Vladimir Terentyev. — The President clearly put everything in its place. Now, during meetings with work collectives, the conversation becomes more frank, substantive and deep, because all topics are clearly outlined. Of course, when you listen to the head of state, even being in a hall of thousands of people, you have the feeling that he is addressing you personally. The TV does not convey the energy that Alexander Lukashenko possesses. People asked questions, received specific answers.

The head of the Vitebsk region's parliamentary corps emphasized that when speaking to the audience, he sets himself the task not just to convince a person to come to the referendum, but also to bring their family with them. He is convinced that today people need to be explained that our future and the future of our children depend on our votes.

During the conversation, the attendees had questions. In particular, they discussed an amendment to the Basic Law, which relates to the fact that parents are obliged to involve children in socially useful labor. Employees asked how this would be regulated (in amendments to the Education Code, or in the Code of Marriage and Family). And since the word "obligation" is used, it is assumed that responsibility should be provided for violation?..

— I believe that socially useful work in childhood will only be beneficial, — answered Vladimir Terentyev. — In my time, after classes, we cleaned classrooms, went to help with the harvest, and helped elderly people. Now, young people look at these things a little differently. In my opinion, the new message is relevant. Labor has never spoiled anyone. And regarding responsibility, I would say this: if you don't teach your child to, for example, mop the floors today, of course, you won't be punished for it. One should not go to extremes. Time will tell what the regulation will be.

By the way, in honor of the Day of Belarusian Science, the Vitebsk branch of the MITSO International University awarded the best employees for their significant contribution to the development of Belarusian science. Among the awardees is the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, who is preparing to defend his candidate dissertation. Vladimir Vladimirovich has been working for several years on the topic "National Policy of Soviet Power in the Territory of the Republic of Belarus".

Communicating with journalists, the head of the Vitebsk region's parliamentary corps noted that he has three higher education degrees.

— At some point, there was a need not just to get a diploma, but to deepen knowledge in a specific field. And this is history, — said Vladimir Terentyev. — By studying the processes that took place in our country in the post-war period and up to perestroika, it is possible to build relationships in society today, avoiding conflicts.

According to the branch director, Candidate of Historical Sciences Alexander Dedinkin, the university staff are the authors of a number of textbooks and study guides approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, monographs, and scientific articles. The professors and teaching staff actively cooperate with the enterprises of the Vitebsk region by concluding economic contracts. In other words, theorists work for the region's practice. MITSO employees conduct research for the region's logistics companies (for example, they implemented a project with Belcustomservice). The university experts' comments on the legal regulation of labor activities help the practicing lawyers of the Vitebsk region enterprises.
