Vladimir Terentyev met with veterans of the agro-industrial complex of the Gorodok district

The event took place on the eve of the professional holiday of rural workers at the city House of Culture. About a dozen people gathered there, who for many years did everything possible to ensure the country's food security, in particular, former heads of the Gorodok Vocational College of Agricultural Production named after I. Doroshchenko Viktor Popov and local farms Ivan Tolkachev, Alexander Karnishov and Viktor Ivanets.

The head of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps thanked the elderly people for their contribution to the development of the district and region's agro-industrial complex, and assured that the state would continue to support this industry by helping to implement modern technologies and equipment.
— You are an example for the current generation of workers in agriculture. Despite the fact that you did not have such energy-intensive machines and equipment in your arsenal as today, you managed to achieve high performance in the farms. Discipline and selflessness helped, — said Vladimir Terentyev. — Rural work is hard, but respected. It is not for nothing that agrarians are called the feeders of the country and the support of the nation. Each of you slept less and paid less attention to your family so that the table of Belarusians would always be rich and hospitable. And the representatives of Gorodok region — the northernmost region of Belarus — had a particularly difficult time. However, you coped, preserved and multiplied the experience of your ancestors, passed it on to your children and grandchildren, who today make a worthy contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex.

Vladimir Vladimirovich emphasized that the authorities are focused on providing the agro-industrial complex workers with everything necessary for high-performance labor. Decent results can only be achieved by increasing the level of technical equipment in the industry and implementing advanced scientific developments.
