Vladimir Terentyev met with high school students from the Lepel district
The Lepel district was visited by a regional information and propaganda group, which initially met with members of the Coordination Council of Public Organizations and Political Parties in a round table format.
Then, the work of the representatives of the regional vertical authorities proceeded in different directions. For example, Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, met with 11th-grade students of the educational institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel". One of the topics was "Media Culture and Media Consumption".
Vladimir Vladimirovich noted that unverified, and sometimes deliberately distorted information, is often found online. Information aggression often becomes the central link of hybrid wars. Therefore, it is obvious that today the content of Internet resources and the level of media literacy of the population are among the key factors that determine the nature of various social processes in our country.
Constant presence in social networks and on various websites forms internet addiction. People simply drop out of real life and stop communicating in person. Social networks and messengers shape the content and meaning of what is happening around them.
Therefore, one should not blindly trust information obtained from the World Wide Web. It is very important to verify its truthfulness. So-called fake, false news, which is beneficial to certain groups of people, often appears. They can spread with incredible speed, accumulating more and more false details along the way.

Vladimir Vladimirovich also inquired about the students' hobbies and future plans. Considering that high school students were present, the conversation also touched upon the choice of future profession and whether they plan to return to their hometowns after graduation.
As many in the hall noted, they would like to work in the regional center or the capital.
To understand the reason for this decision, Vladimir Vladimirovich asked what is lacking in Lepel to make it attractive to young people.
One of the high school students replied that large cities offer more opportunities for
During the conversation, Vladimir Vladimirovich presented arguments
that one can pursue their favorite activity in Lepel as well. There are many
opportunities even for a photographer: to place advertisements at the State Enterprise DRPC "Zhemchuzhina", a military sanatorium, which always has many visitors who want to have photos as souvenirs.
I am sure that many young people will eventually realize that our settlement is in no way inferior to a big city, and in some ways even surpasses it. After all, we have a lot of greenery, everything is within walking distance, a variety of free clubs and sections, which in big cities require payment.
The guest also mentioned that a swimming pool was recently opened in Vitebsk,
built with investor funding. Of course, not every settlement may be so lucky, but investments and new modern jobs are the task of those who are sitting at school desks today.
– The future of your city, and the country as a whole, depends on you – your knowledge and active life position. I am confident that you will grow up to be a worthy generation, –
summarized the Chairman of the Regional Council, Vladimir Terentiev.
