The "Masters of the Village" of the Vitebsk region will be determined in a race with yoke and eggs in a frying pan, the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM informed a BELTA correspondent. The fun competition will take place on October 3 in the agro-town of Kopti, Vitebsk region. The main participants are 10 families from different districts of the region. The participants determine the composition of their representation themselves. Thus, the organizers expect a family with 10 children from the Gluboksky district, and three from the Sharkovshchinsky district, while some will come to the competition with only one child. The rivals will compete for the right to be called "Masters of the Village" in a strenuous labor struggle. The heads of families will have to prove their superiority in running with a barrel, a yoke and buckets of water, in the ability to hammer nails, chop wood and ride horses. Housewives should also practice in advance. Honing their skills to perfection will not be superfluous, as they will face a sprint race with eggs in a frying pan, "Cinderella's work" - sorting beans and peas, peeling onions, and a distance to run with a cast-iron pot of water on a yoke. In the other contests, all children will switch from enthusiastic fans to active helpers. Together with their parents, they will roll pumpkins, saw wood, move sacks of potatoes, prepare a signature culinary dish, compose an autumn bouquet, and present a family profile. Regardless of its composition, the family that manages to reveal its talents most fully and vividly, and also completes the tasks the fastest, will be recognized as the "Master of the Village". In addition to the honorary title and a wonderful piglet as the main prize, they will participate in the republican stage of the competition, which will be held in October-November in the Minsk region. Other participants will also be awarded incentive prizes and diplomas in various nominations. The project is designed to promote the settlement of young families in rural areas, enhance the prestige of agricultural professions, and strengthen family traditions. The organizers of the event are the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the regional organization of the BRSM, and the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of the Agro-Industrial Complex. -0-
