During a public reception in Liozno, toll roads, social media, and parental leave were discussed
Toll roads, social media, and parental leave have become the central topics discussed during a public reception in the town of Liozno, Vitebsk region.
Since November 12, a public reception has been operating in the Liozno district to collect socially significant initiatives from the public on constitutional reform and other pressing issues of the country and the region. Twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:00 to 20:00, citizens are received by responsible officials of the district executive committee and representatives of the deputy corps. This time, Marina Faliboga-Petukhova, head of the organizational and personnel work department of the district executive committee, listened to questions and suggestions.
Veronika Novikova, First Secretary of the Liozno District Committee of the BRSM, proposed introducing mandatory job placement for graduates of secondary specialized and vocational-technical educational institutions, who find it more difficult to find employment than those who graduated from universities on a fee-paying basis.
Veronika Andreevna also asked to forward a proposal through the established channels for working members of the BRSM to pay membership fees on a voluntary basis, with deductions from their salaries not as a lump sum of 9 rubles, but broken down monthly. This will be less of a burden on their wallets, the First Secretary is convinced. Veronika Novikova also proposed expanding the age range of organization members to 35 years and establishing legal responsibility for administrators of social media groups for content and posted comments.

Mikhail Solovyov, head of the Liozno branch of the RSE "Bus Park No. 1 of Vitebsk," is convinced that public transport should be exempted from paying tolls on toll roads. The R21 toll road passes through the Liozno district, and drivers pay for its use through the electronic BelToll system.
– This affects the costs of the bus company and increases the cost of chartered buses. By the way, school buses are also forced topay for travel, as the route to some villages where Lyozno schoolchildren live also runs along the R21. There is also a gas station on this highway," Mikhail Valeryevich voiced the problem.
The discussion of the issue of reducing parental leave did not leave indifferent the head of the education department of the Liozno District Executive Committee, Grigory Asirian:

– "I think that if 20–25% of young mothers on parental leave send their two-year-old child to kindergarten and stay at home surfing the internet, while receiving 100% of the child benefit, it is unfair to those who go to work and receive only 50% of the child benefit. I propose that those who stay at home when the child is sent to kindergarten should not be paid child benefits.
In addition, Grigory Armaisovich is also concerned about the issue of admission to the 10th grade:

– "10th-11th grades are the third stage of school education for those who plan to enter university. I believe that the Education Code should specify the exact conditions for admission to the 10th grade, for example, that the academic performance should be at least 7 points.
The head of the education department is also concerned about the future of the villages. Every year, new apartment buildings are commissioned in the district, in which up to 25% of apartments are allocated for large families.

– "Large families have a choice – to build housing in the village or in the city. And naturally, all villagers choose the city, the outflow of children begins andyouth. With per capita funding, we will not be able to keep kindergartens and schools in rural areas. And this can only be regulated at the legislative level, while simultaneously increasing housing construction in rural areas, – Grigory Asirian is confident.

– The work of public reception offices will continue until the end of December. And the more

The more problems are raised by concerned citizens, the better the changes in the socio-political system of the country will be prepared, which will allow reforming our society without revolutionary upheavals, strengthening and developing Belarusian statehood, – Marina Faliboga-Petukhova is convinced.
