The Volgograd region is interested in cooperation with Belarusian companies

The Volgograd region is interested in cooperation with Belarusian companies. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Export Support Center of the Volgograd region, Victoria Afanasova, who arrived in Vitebsk today as part of a business delegation from the Russian region.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from the Volgograd region of Russia have been in Belarus for the third day. The visit program includes visiting enterprises, business meetings and negotiations in Minsk and the Vitebsk region.

"As part of our business mission, we are representing 4 companies involved in the development and production of equipment, electrical appliances, and the implementation of new construction technologies. These enterprises are interested in cooperation with Belarus, but not only them," noted Victoria Afanasova. "This is our first visit, and we hope it will be far from the last. The Volgograd region has a very strong interest in cooperation with Belarusian companies, including those in the Vitebsk region. Our regions are aimed at convergence and establishing close ties – an agreement on cooperation between our regions is being prepared for signing."

The process of convergence began last spring when a large and representative delegation from the Vitebsk region, led by the chairman of the regional executive committee, visited the Volgograd region. "At that time, a meeting of governors and business representatives took place, and today we have come to Vitebsk on a small return visit," added the head of the delegation.

The Russian guests attended a meeting with representatives of the economy committee of the regional executive committee and districts of the Vitebsk region. The program also includes visits to resident enterprises of the FEZ "Vitebsk", OJSC "Naftan" and SOOO "LLK-Naftan" in Novopolotsk. "We hope that following the meetings, options for cooperation will emerge, including investment in the creation of joint ventures. Our task is precisely to find points of interaction and potential partners who are ready to work together, ready to think about promising proposals and develop mutually beneficial cooperation," summarized the head of the Export Support Center.
