The "Kind December" volunteer campaign started in Braslav district on the first day of winter, the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM informed a BELTA correspondent. Throughout the month, BRSM activists will be collecting funds, toys, sports equipment, gifts, and souvenirs. On Christmas days, all collected items will be distributed to low-income families and families in socially dangerous situations, children in orphanages, boarding schools, and children's homes. Veterans and elderly people of Braslav region will not be forgotten on these days. Handmade souvenirs and postcards with New Year's wishes will be a pleasant surprise for them. During the campaign, organizers hope to involve other residents of the city and district. Similar campaigns will be held in all other regions of the province, the regional committee of the organization noted. In addition, BRSM activists plan to congratulate children forced to celebrate the New Year in hospitals and organize theatrical performances for children from social shelters and children with disabilities. -0-
