Volunteers will provide language assistance to medical personnel during the II European Games. This was announced on STV channel's "24 Hours" program by Alexander Zhinko, Chief Freelance Specialist in Emergency Medical Care of the Ministry of Health, Chief Physician of the Minsk City Ambulance Station, as reported by BELTA.

"Our staff will coordinate medical support for all sports facilities where competitions and athlete training will take place. In this regard, we have purchased new vehicles, equipment, and new uniform sets.

We have specialists who know foreign languages, but unfortunately, there are not many of them. Therefore, volunteers will work in all brigades," Alexander Zhinko said.

He added that currently, ambulance crews are equipped with everything necessary to provide highly qualified assistance.

The II European Games will be held in Minsk from June 21 to June 30, 2019, at 12 sports facilities. More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 199 sets of medals in 15 sports. Competitions in nine sports will be qualifying events for the XXXII Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
