Volunteers help clear snow by calling the BRSM 'hotline'

In the Vitebsk region, the BRSM "hotline" is operating, by calling which you can ask volunteers for help in clearing snow.

Volunteers of the BRSM "Kind Heart" movement decided to organize this form of assistance in connection with the arrival of Cyclone Axel in Belarus in early January. And now it is still relevant due to weather conditions. War veterans, disabled people, and elderly people living alone can leave their request by phone in Vitebsk at 8(0212) 42-68-87, calls are accepted from any region of the oblast, and the request for help will be forwarded to the nearest territorial unit. Alternatively, you can directly contact the district committee of the youth organization at your place of residence.

For example, in Vitebsk, four volunteer teams from among the activists of the Zheleznodorozhny district committee of the BRSM became participants in the fight against the consequences of recent snowfalls. They focused on about 20 courtyards where the owners, due to age or life circumstances, were unable to cope with snowdrifts on their own.

– Our volunteers are caring students and working youth, – said **Karina Pushkareva, First Secretary of the Zheleznodorozhny District Committee of the BRSM**, from the scene: they had arrived at the sixth address. – Help is usually needed in the private sector, which is quite large. We worked actively in Tiraspol, and other courtyards are ahead in accordance with the requests to the "hotline". In addition, the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Zheleznodorozhny District handed over some addresses to us, its employees worked all weekend, many other organizations also worked, and we took over the baton. And we are very happy to help.
