This opinion was expressed by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Igor Starovoitov, answering a question from a BELTA correspondent. In Vitebsk, he is taking part in the final meeting of the regional committee for labor, employment and social protection. "There is interest in this issue, however, it needs to be carefully studied. Currently, it is being examined," the deputy minister said. He noted that much has already been done to improve the investment climate in Belarus. Last year, the country significantly improved its position in the World Bank's annual "Doing Business 2010" study. In the ranking of favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity, Belarus took 58th place. At the same time, to move further and enter the top thirty countries with the best conditions for doing business, further progress is needed, including the improvement of the tax system, Igor Starovoitov believes. -0-
