The issues of training qualified workers are relevant for any country - an expert's opinion
December 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The issue of training qualified personnel is of great importance for any country. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the head of the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Ivan Shchurok.
The President of Belarus spoke about the need to pay serious attention to the quality of education at the IV All-Belarusian People's Assembly. "Given the tasks facing the country in the next five years, this is absolutely correct. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the quality of preschool, school, as well as secondary vocational, vocational and higher education," Ivan Shchurok emphasized.
The words of the head of state about the high level of the vocational education system in Belarus caused pride among educators. "After all, there were times when the opinion was voiced about the need to sell vocational education facilities and production areas, and there were businessmen ready to acquire them. However, credit must be given to our authorities, who did not do this, preserving the material and technical base," the head of the department recalled, noting that life has confirmed the correctness of this decision. Today, Belarus itself meets all its needs for qualified specialists in various working professions. Moreover, young people from other countries also come to study here.
Ivan Shchurok expressed confidence that the funds invested in the economy over the past five years will yield results and become a good basis for the further development of the country's national economy sectors. The main priorities of the next period of Belarus's life - family, health, education - indicate a focus on improving people's lives. "Therefore, we must do everything to achieve the set goals, as the well-being of our people depends on it," he concluded. -0-
