Issues of personal data protection will be discussed at a seminar in Vitebsk
The seminar will take place at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. It will be attended by heads and specialized specialists of regional, district, and city executive committees, institutions, and organizations of the Vitebsk region. District centers and cities of regional subordination of the Vitebsk region will join the seminar online.
Specialists from the National Center for Personal Data Protection will talk about personal data protection standards, legal relations regulated by the relevant law, subjects to whom the law applies, and measures to ensure personal data protection. A separate block will cover issues of personal data processing in connection with labor activities and present a step-by-step algorithm of actions for the operator to protect processed personal data. During the seminar, a blitz session of answers to participants' questions will be held.
The National Center for Personal Data Protection was established three months ago by decree of the head of state. It is the authorized body for the protection of personal data subjects' rights. The center's activities are aimed at solving two key tasks: organizing personal data protection and the educational process in this area.
One of the center's activities is to conduct explanatory work on the application of personal data protection legislation. The center considers appeals and complaints from personal data subjects, conducts thematic webinars and seminars, and implements educational projects.
