Eight party members submitted documents to register initiative groups in the Vitebsk region
July 20, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Eight citizens who declared their party affiliation have submitted documents for the registration of an initiative group to the district election commissions for the election of deputies to the House of Representatives of the fifth convocation in the Vitebsk region, the deputy head of the organizational and personnel work department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Leonid Dorofeenko, told a BELTA correspondent.
Documents for the registration of an initiative group are submitted by a citizen who intends to nominate himself as a candidate for deputy by collecting signatures. In 14 district commissions, which are formed in the region, a total of 52 applications have been submitted, of which four applications were received from the Belarusian Left Party "A Just World" and the Belarusian People's Front party.
District election commissions are obliged to make a decision on registration within a five-day period, Leonid Dorofeenko recalled. Members of a registered initiative group receive corresponding certificates and signature sheets. Collectors need to collect at least a thousand signatures of voters residing in the district for which the prospective candidate for deputy is nominated.
In the Vitebsk region, work on the formation of polling stations continues. In Beshenkovichi, Braslav, Verkhnedvinsk, Glubokoe, Dokshitsy, Dubrovno, Lepel and Miory districts, they have already been formed.
