Eight biomass boilers with mechanized loading will be installed in the Vitebsk region by autumn

May 23, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Eight boilers running on local types of fuel with mechanized loading will be launched in the Vitebsk region by the new heating season. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Anatoly Sudak, head of the production and technical department of the housing and communal services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Work is already underway at the central boiler house in Senno to convert two 2 MW boilers from gas to local types of fuel. Two 3 MW boilers running on wood chips will be installed at the heat source of the Liozno Central District Hospital. The same number of 2 MW boilers are being installed at the central boiler house in Dubrovno, and another one in Tolochin. Milled peat supplied by the Osintorf peat enterprise will be used as fuel for the latter. A 3 MW boiler will be installed by the autumn-winter season in the village of Farinovo, Polotsk district. Two 2 MW boilers are operated in this settlement. However, in frosts below 26 degrees, these capacities are insufficient, so additional equipment is being installed here, explained Anatoly Sudak. The main supplier of boilers with mechanized loading will be the scientific and production enterprise Belkotlomash (Beshenkovichi). In addition, boilers running on local types of fuel with manual loading and a capacity of up to 1 MW will be installed at heat sources in Postavy, Dokshitsy, Vitebsk, Verkhnedvinsk and Orsha districts. More than Br12 billion will be allocated for the preparation of the boiler house economy for the inter-season period in the Vitebsk region. The commissioning of facilities is scheduled for September 1. For the operation of all boiler houses in the region running on local types of fuel by October 1, it is planned to procure 55 thousand dense cubic meters of wood chips and 300 thousand dense cubic meters of firewood. The fuel procurement task has been assigned to each region of the area, and work on creating reserves is already underway. In general, the installed capacity of heat sources in the Vitebsk region is about 2 thousand MW, including 1.5 thousand MW of boiler houses running on local types of fuel. -0-
