Bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated in the case of the bankruptcy of RUPP "Megom"

May 4, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The economic court of the Vitebsk region has decided to open bankruptcy proceedings in the case of the bankruptcy of the republican unitary production enterprise (RUPP) "Megom", the judge Viktor Shilchenok told a BELTA correspondent. The insolvency (bankruptcy) case of "Megom" was initiated in February 2009 at the initiative of the enterprise itself. "Megom" does not actually carry out production and economic activities, and is mainly engaged in selling previously produced products. As of December 1, 2008, the enterprise's accounts payable amounted to over Br2 billion, and the value of its assets at the time of filing the lawsuit was estimated at Br513 million. According to the preliminary conclusion of the Department for Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, RUPP "Megom" has been recognized as steadily insolvent. In addition, the board of the Ministry of Industry, which is the owner of the enterprise, recognized the ineffectiveness of taking measures for its pre-trial rehabilitation. Based on the results of the protective period and the analysis of the financial condition and solvency of the enterprise, the court concluded that there were grounds for initiating bankruptcy proceedings against the debtor. An anti-crisis manager has been appointed, who is obliged to analyze the financial condition of the enterprise to determine the possibility of restoring its solvency, and to form a list of creditors and a register of creditors' claims. In addition, the court has ordered an examination of the financial and economic activities of "Megom". Based on the results of the bankruptcy proceedings, a decision will be made on bankruptcy with rehabilitation or liquidation of the enterprise. RUPP "Megom" was established in 1968 and specialized in the production of resistors. After joining the "Monolit" production association in 1971, "Megom" mastered the production of capacitors for the defense industry of the USSR. In 1997, due to the cessation of purchases of products, "Megom" was withdrawn from the "Monolit" production association and began to specialize in the production of consumer goods. In 2008, the real estate of "Megom" was transferred free of charge to the "Belbiofarm" concern for the organization of pharmaceutical production in Vitebsk. The number of employees of the enterprise is 22 people. -0-
