Fire at the Vitebsk boarding house for the elderly and disabled

A fire broke out late in the evening of June 9 in one of the rooms on the second floor of the Vitebsk boarding house for the elderly and disabled, located on Frunze Avenue.

The staff of the boarding house immediately took measures to extinguish the fire, notify the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, provide assistance in escorting residents, and eliminate the consequences of the fire.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the firefighters and the staff of the boarding house, the fire was promptly localized and extinguished. Its cause is being established.

Two elderly residents of this institution, born in 1918 and 1937, died.
