For the first time, almost professional builders have appeared in the Vitebsk student construction teams

For the first time this year, almost professional builders, 3rd-grade concrete workers, have joined the Vitebsk student construction teams, the regional committee of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" told a BELTA correspondent. A month before the start of work, students underwent training with their employer, Vitebsk construction trust No. 9. Based on the test results, 40 young men were awarded a qualification grade, which will allow them to expect a salary of Br800,000 or more. However, they will be held accountable like real workers. The current holidays will be the third work semester for more than 7,000 students in the region. As part of 160 teams, they will work on facilities of the national economy, engage in landscaping, help farmers, and organize leisure activities for schoolchildren in health camps. Construction teams have already started working; 60 teams have been formed in the region. The construction team members will work on the construction of a new workshop at the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm, the erection of dairy farms, and also on the improvement of cities and villages. Employment service units have not remained aloof from organizing secondary employment for students. As reported to BELTA by the employment department of the Committee for Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, more than Br2.5 billion is planned to be allocated for these purposes. It is expected that at least 4,900 schoolchildren, students, and university students will find a useful application for their skills. The young people will be involved in tidying up adjacent territories and embankments, repairing school furniture and book collections, and the most skilled will be entrusted with sewing theatrical costumes. The results of the work summer will traditionally be summarized in the fall. Then the best construction team of the region, the best construction team member, and even the best employer – the work organizer will be named and awarded. -0-
