For the first time in Vitebsk, the festival "Sport Knows No Borders – Vitebsk Region 2018" is taking place
Representatives of the regional authorities, students and teachers of the university, as well as winners and prize-winners of the Paralympics in Pyeongchang are participating in the forum. Among the honored guests are three-time Paralympic champion Svetlana Sakonenko, the 2018 Games medalist Lidiya Grafeeva, captain of the national team Dmitry Loban, and others.
Renowned athletes took part in the scientific and practical conference "Paralympic Sports in the Concept of Medical and Social Rehabilitation and Integration". At the meeting, they gave some advice to future champions.
In particular, Lidiya Grafeeva advised: "A lot depends on nutrition; it can both cause many problems, especially with health, and solve them. Eat properly – fractionally, more often, more complex carbohydrates, protein after training."
In addition, the Paralympians talked about how they got into sports. Not without a touch of humor, Dmitry Loban told about his friendship with a sports rifle: "Lidiya Grafeeva and Evgeny Lukyanenko are Sagittarius by horoscope, it's easier for them, but I have to practice shooting every day."
Also, within the framework of the festival, sports competitions will be held.
