For the first time in the Vitebsk region, a private enterprise will acquire real estate for an investment project

For the first time in the Vitebsk region, a private enterprise will receive unused communal real estate free of charge into ownership for an investment project, Deputy Director of the regional territorial fund "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" Pavel Kotikov told a BELTA correspondent. The Potochne Limited Liability Company "Production and Furniture Center" (LLC "PMC") has created a modern woodworking production and mastered the production of door blocks, having invested almost Br3.4 billion in these purposes. To implement the investment project, unused communal real estate objects were transferred to the enterprise in 2007 based on Decree No. 108 of February 27, 2007 "On some measures to involve unused property in economic circulation". In total, the investor was granted 18 communal real estate objects for gratuitous use for a period of 3 years. In 2009, the enterprise completed the implementation of the investment project, and now a draft decision of the regional executive committee on transferring real estate to the investor into ownership will be prepared, Pavel Kotikov clarified. As a result of involving unused property in circulation, Br111.4 million has already been received into the budget. In addition, during the production period, LLC "PMC" paid about Br95 million in taxes. The enterprise has created 158 jobs, and in December 2009, the average salary at the enterprise was almost Br729 thousand. The project was implemented in accordance with the State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Regions, Small and Medium-Sized Urban Settlements of the Republic of Belarus for 2007-2010. The enterprise carried out capital repairs of the transferred buildings, structures, and utility networks. A prefabricated woodworking shop with a total area of over 3.7 thousand sq.m, six drying chambers with a total production volume of 6 thousand cubic meters per month, and a number of other production lines and sections have been put into operation at the production site. Two hot water boilers of Italian production, operating on woodworking waste and fully meeting the enterprise's thermal energy needs, have been installed in the reconstructed boiler house. In addition, an experimental section for the production of solid wood furniture, garden furniture, and billiard tables has been created here. Since August 2009, LLC "PMC" has been carrying out a full cycle of door block production. During this time, the output volume of products amounted to over Br1.3 billion, including exports worth almost Br165 million. The enterprise also provides services for sawing and drying lumber, and processing customer-supplied raw materials. The total amount of production services rendered during the operation period exceeded Br3.3 billion. In 2010, the enterprise plans to commission a pellet production shop, which is intended to be fully exported. The annual investment in production development will be at least 135 thousand euros. In total, in the region, there are currently more than 10 investment projects at various stages of implementation for the creation of new production facilities, including those related to the involvement of unused communal real estate objects in economic circulation. -0-
