Everything that is done in Belarus is done for the common person - Russian political commentator

June 10, Vitebsk region / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Everything that is done in Belarus is done for the common person. This is how Alexander Ruvinsky, a political observer for "Radio Russia" and a participant in the "Modern Belarus: An Outside View" project, which is being held as part of the V Belarusian International Media Forum, described his impressions of modern Belarus in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent. Together with his colleagues, he visited the Vitebsk region on June 9. "What is pleasantly surprising in Belarus is that everything that is done here is for the benefit of the person. Not for banks, not for businessmen. And every resident feels this," the journalist said. This is not his first time in Belarus, and having met Belarusians many times, he has noticed that their distinctive feature is confidence in the future. "Belarusians have reasons to love their Motherland," he added. Another distinctive feature of modern Belarus, in Alexander Ruvinsky's opinion, is the high level of modernization in industry, agriculture, and the social sphere. The political observer also touched upon the issue of corruption. In his opinion, minimizing corruption is another feature of the republic. Alexander Ruvinsky noted with regret that Russians receive insufficient information about Belarus. "While regional media still talk about Belarus, there is a deficit of information at the federal level, especially in electronic media. Perhaps this is also envy of what is actually happening in the country," he said. On June 9, the media forum participants visited the Vitebsk region. They visited the Marc Chagall Art Center, the Luzhesnyan boarding school-gymnasium, and the agro-town of Novka. Today will be dedicated to innovations for the guests. Foreign journalists will learn about new developments at the Vitebsk State Technological University, get acquainted with its experimental production, and also visit Vitebsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 1, which has recently been reconstructed and equipped with modern diagnostic and laboratory equipment, including expert-class ultrasound machines, fetal monitors, and incubators for premature babies. Br5 billion from the republican and local budgets were allocated for the purchase of this equipment. Participants of the media forum from Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan arrived in the Vitebsk region. -0-
