All industrial enterprises of the Vitebsk region will join the regional state association

The creation of a state association of local industry enterprises will allow the Vitebsk region to more effectively solve the problems of economic entities. This was noted by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, while communicating with journalists following a visit to the Vitebsk Elevators machine-building company.

According to the governor, the problems of some enterprises of republican ownership located in the Vitebsk region are due to the loss of inter-factory ties. Once, these manufacturers worked closely with large Belarusian enterprises, producing components for them.

"Now this is gone, and, accordingly, our enterprises, which were focused on producing specific products, found themselves out of work. They need to be either repurposed or find a new niche. To solve these issues, we have created a state association of local industry enterprises, which will include all enterprises of communal ownership. Moreover, enterprises of republican ownership will also be transferred to communal ownership in the near future and will join the association. Thus, we will be able to solve the problems of manufacturers in our region without waiting for the intervention of republican structures," said Nikolai Sherstnev.

It is assumed that the association will optimize enterprise management – management functions will be concentrated in one body. In addition, comprehensive control over the activities and development of enterprises will be ensured, and the efficiency of state property management will increase. The main goals of the association are the effective resolution of economic issues, the implementation of plans for the reconstruction and modernization of production capacities, an increase in export supplies, and an improvement in production cooperation.
