All districts of the Vitebsk region have begun harvesting grain on citizens' household plots

August 12, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Agricultural enterprises of all districts of the Vitebsk region have begun to assist citizens in harvesting grain on household plots, the Agriculture and Food Committee of the regional executive committee informed a BELTA correspondent.

As of August 12, almost 4.7 thousand hectares have been mown in households, which is more than 23% of the areas of the private sector subject to harvesting. About 12.5 thousand tons of grain have been threshed, with an average yield exceeding 26.7 centners per hectare. In Braslavsky, Verkhnedvinsky, and Sharkovshchinsky districts, more than 50% of the private sector areas have been mown, with approximately 990 tons, almost 610 tons, and more than 2.2 thousand tons threshed, respectively.

In most districts, the grain yield on household plots ranges from 25-30 centners per hectare, with the exception of Verkhnedvinsky district, where this figure is 17 centners per hectare. The highest yield (31.5 centners per hectare) is currently obtained by households in Orshansky district, where only about 17 hectares have been mown and 53 tons of grain have been threshed.-0-
