All districts of the Vitebsk region have started the harvest
In the Vitebsk region, farms in all districts are conducting selective grain harvesting, the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee reported.
A total of 4.5 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested, which is 1.3% of the total area. 14.5 thousand tons of grain have been threshed. Grain growers collect an average of 32.1 centners of grain per hectare. In the region, the harvesting of winter rapeseed is approaching its end - 72% of the fields have been threshed. In parallel, preparations are underway for sowing this oilseed crop - 37% of the areas have been plowed. As for fodder procurement, the region has fulfilled the annual target for herbaceous fodder by 57%. 14.5 centners of fodder units per conventional head of cattle have been procured.
