Meetings with people help to measure the correctness of the steps being taken for the country's development - A.Yakobson
August 3, Dubrovno / Sergei Kotovet - BELTA/. Meetings with people and visits to work collectives provide an opportunity to establish feedback and assess the correctness of the steps taken by the leadership of ministries and departments to develop the country. This opinion was expressed today to journalists, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent, by the Chairman of the Committee of State Control Alexander Yakobson, following a meeting with the work collective of OJSC "Dubrovno Flax Mill".
Communication with work collectives also allows for identifying the real situation at enterprises directly on the ground and seeing how the difficult financial and economic situation is being overcome there, the head of the control department noted. "People will always tell the truth, as a rule, they will not hesitate to express their opinions, remarks and criticize, if necessary, both their leaders and local authorities," Alexander Yakobson is confident, adding that people just need to be encouraged to have an open conversation.
The meeting with the collective of the Dubrovno Flax Mill made an exclusively positive impression on the head of the CSC. "Despite the existing difficulties, people look to the future with optimism and make plans, as they believe that all difficulties are surmountable," Alexander Yakobson shared his impressions. At the same time, he has no doubt that together we will get out of a rather difficult situation.
Another goal of Alexander Yakobson's visit to the enterprise was to study the work experience and problems of flax fiber production at the Dubrovno Flax Mill. Unfortunately, not everything is going well in the flax industry in Belarus in recent years, the head of the CSC noted. "Dubrovno Flax Mill is one of the strongest and most robust enterprises in Belarus, it has an experienced leader, so it is important to hear the point of view of practitioners on the existing problems in the industry," Alexander Yakobson emphasized. Moreover, despite the technical equipment and rich experience, the enterprise operates with negative profitability, so it is necessary to study all the factors influencing this state of affairs for making management decisions for the industry as a whole, the head of the CSC added.
Dubroven Linen Mill was founded in 1932 and incorporated in 1998. The linen mill is engaged in growing flax on an area of 1.8 thousand hectares and primary processing of flax straw, and also produces twine and linen felt. In January-June, the enterprise produced almost 360 tons of long flax fiber with an average grade of 11.26 and over 900 tons of short flax fiber with an average grade of 3.99. The growth rate of flax fiber production was 106.4%, including 119.7% for long flax fiber. Labor productivity at the enterprise increased almost 2 times compared to the same period in 2010.-0-
