The admission campaign for higher education institutions in Belarus will conclude on August 6

May 17, Minsk / Yulia Vanina - BELTA /. The university admission campaign in Belarus will end on August 6. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Alexander Zhuk. At the same time, he noted that "until the end of September, there may still be additional enrollment of applicants who did not pass the competition for vacant state-funded or fee-paying places, in case someone from the enrolled applicants does not start classes within the established period." Alexander Zhuk emphasized that the competition and enrollment will be conducted in a maximally open manner. Lists of enrolled students will contain information about the number of points scored and the benefits provided. The enrollment scheme for applicants admitted to educational institutions on a fee-paying basis is uniform for all universities, and it applies to educational institutions of both state and private ownership. A specialist training agreement is concluded after the university's admissions committee makes a decision on enrollment and serves as the basis for issuing an order to enroll first-year students. A first-year student can pay for tuition only after the order is issued. The payment period is at least 15 calendar days from the date of signing the agreement, as some applicants need to arrange and obtain a loan to pay for tuition. "Last year, several universities violated this scheme, so this year this process will be under special control," noted Alexander Zhuk. For universities of law enforcement agencies, the deadlines for submitting documents, entrance examinations, and enrollment are set from July 9 to July 24; for universities of the Ministry of Culture, from July 9 to July 28. Applicants who have passed the entrance examinations, to participate in the competition for full-time, part-time, and evening forms of education on a fee-paying basis, submit documents by July 27. In the second wave of universities, the admission campaign will take place from July 16 to August 6. Moreover, for all forms of education (except for universities of agricultural focus), documents are submitted from July 16 to July 25, and for military faculties - from July 16 to July 23. Applicants who have passed the entrance examinations but did not pass the competition for full-time education at a university at the expense of budget funds, to participate in the competition at the same university for part-time and evening forms of education at the expense of budget funds (except for universities of agricultural profile), submit documents by August 2. Applicants who have passed the entrance examinations, to participate in the competition for full-time, part-time, and evening forms of education on a fee-paying basis, submit documents by August 4. Enrollment of applicants in the first wave of universities will take place from July 20 to July 28, in the second wave - from August 1 to August 6. -0-
