The "Mir" cinema in Vitebsk has commissioned a second hall for viewing films in 2D and 3D formats.

Since the early 2000s, this space has housed a shop, a mini-market, a billiard hall, and a private 3D cinema at various times. Finally, the "Mir" cinema's own hall, with a capacity of 149 seats, has been renovated and equipped to meet modern requirements. The necessary equipment, a new laminated screen, and comfortable seating have been purchased.

Now, with a slight time difference, "Mir" will show two film screenings simultaneously. On October 10, viewers will be able to attend the new hall for screenings of the animated film "Tad, the Lost Explorer" in 3D and the fantasy film "Solomon Kane" in 2D.

In addition, as reported by the cinema director Tatyana Yekomasova, ongoing renovations will continue. In particular, the reconstruction of the second-floor foyer is planned to begin in November to comfortably accommodate all spectators waiting for the start of a screening.

Incidentally, the Manhattan Short Film Festival recently concluded its screenings at "Mir". Most Vitebsk residents voted for the film "I Am a Huge Ball of Sadness".
