Universities in Belarus have started posting tuition fees for first-year fee-paying students on their websites
July 28, Minsk /BELTA/. Belarusian universities have started posting tuition fees for first-year students on a fee-paying basis on their websites since July 28, BELTA correspondent reports.
The Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) and Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov were the first to do so.
According to the BSEU website, the tuition fee for a first-year fee-paying student at this university will be Br11,358,600 or Br11,587,500 per year.
At Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, tuition for a law student will cost Br12,208,000. Tuition for other specialties here will be cheaper - Br10,758,000, while for distance learning, the prices for services are significantly lower - the "jurisprudence" specialty will cost a student Br3,705,600 per year, and other specialties - Br3,500,600.
As told to a BELTA correspondent at the Ministry of Education, starting this year, all applicants must sign contracts for education, both those who will be enrolled in state-funded education and those who will study on a fee-paying basis. Contracts for education this year must be signed by all first-year students of full-time, part-time, state-funded, and fee-paying departments admitted to vocational schools, secondary vocational schools, and universities. Signing such a contract significantly disciplines both pupils and students, as well as teachers, and even employers. It should be noted that the documents signed by the admitted students must specify the cost of the educational service.
