ELECTIONS-2015. 170 national observers accredited in the Vitebsk region

170 national observers have been accredited by territorial commissions for the election of the President in the Vitebsk region, the regional commission reported.

According to operational data as of August 31, the largest number of observers were accredited by district commissions - 81 people, 55 by precinct commissions, as well as 27 by district commissions in Vitebsk, 5 by the city commission in Novopolotsk, and 2 observers received accreditation from the regional commission.

In this case, the absolute majority of nominees are representatives of public associations - 153 people. The most active in nominating observers are the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans (57 people), the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (35 people), the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (26 people), "Belaya Rus" (16 people), and the RPPO "Belarusian Helsinki Committee" (7 people).

As for political parties, they have not shown any activity yet - only 5 of their representatives have been accredited (4 from the Communist Party of Belarus, one from the Republican Party of Labor and Justice). One observer was nominated by a work collective and 11 by citizens through applications.
