ELECTIONS-2016: 31 observers accredited for parliamentary elections in Vitebsk region

The election commissions of the Vitebsk region have accredited 31 observers for the elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the sixth convocation, the regional election commission reported.

Of the 31 accredited observers, three people are registered with the regional election commission, and 28 are registered with district election commissions. The absolute majority of observers are representatives of public associations, numbering 27 people. These are members of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, the Belarusian Association of Public Associations "Belaya Rus", the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, and the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. As for political parties, so far one person has been accredited from them - a representative of the Communist Party of Belarus. Three more observers were nominated by citizens by submitting applications.

The elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the sixth convocation are scheduled for September 11.
