ELECTIONS-2016: 53 observers accredited for parliamentary elections in Vitebsk region

Election commissions of the Vitebsk region have accredited 53 observers for the election of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the sixth convocation, the regional election commission reported.

As of July 18, out of 53 accredited observers, 4 people are registered with the regional territorial commission, and 49 are registered with district election commissions. The absolute majority of observers are representatives of public associations, numbering 48 people. These are members of the BRSM, the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, the Public Association "Belaya Rus", the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, etc. As for political parties, only 2 people have been accredited from them so far - these are representatives of the Communist Party of Belarus. Another 3 observers are nominated by citizens by submitting applications. The elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the sixth convocation are scheduled for September 11.
