ELECTIONS-2016: 75 observers accredited for parliamentary elections in Vitebsk region

Vitebsk Oblast Election Commissions Accredited 75 Observers for the Election of Deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Sixth Convocation, the Oblast Election Commission reported.

As of July 25, out of 75 accredited observers, 6 people are registered with the oblast territorial commission, and 69 are registered with district election commissions. The absolute majority of observers are representatives of public associations, numbering 70 people. These are members of the BRSM, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, the Public Association "Belaya Rus", the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, the Belarusian Women's Union, etc. As for political parties, 2 people have been accredited from them so far – these are representatives of the Communist Party of Belarus. Another 3 observers have been nominated by citizens by submitting applications. The elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the sixth convocation are scheduled for September 11.
