According to the calendar plan for the elections to the House of Representatives, approved today at a meeting of the Central Election Commission, the nomination of candidates for deputies to the Belarusian parliament will take place from July 15 to August 13, a BELTA correspondent reports. As Secretary of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Lozovik said, in accordance with the electoral legislation of Belarus, candidates for district commissions are nominated by political parties and other public associations, labor collectives, as well as groups of citizens by submitting an application. Next, it is necessary to submit a list of members of the initiative group that will be engaged in collecting signatures in support of the candidate, and an application for registration. Documents are accepted by the district election commission of the district for which the deputy is running. A month is allocated for pre-election campaigning. Early voting will begin five days before the main one, which will be held on September 23. -0-
